The Opportunity
We're looking for a detail-orientedSpecialty Lines Operations Associateto help ensure accurate policy administration, effective vendor management, and strong regulatory compliance across our Specialty Lines insurance products. In this role, you'll process and service Specialty Lines policies, perform quality assurance, maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and attestations, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence.

This role is hybrid. If you live within 50 miles of a Liberty Mutual office, you'll be expected to work in the office at least twice per week. (Please note this policy is subject to change.)
Key Responsibilities
Partner with vendors to collect, validate, and reconcile source data required to accurately process and service Specialty Lines insurance products.
Apply and interpret standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Specialty Lines workflows, including endorsements, coverages, and policy lifecycle activities.
Conduct detailed quality assurance reviews of vendor deliverables, system outputs, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Maintain and update attestation and compliance documentation to meet Specialty Lines regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
Support monitoring of vendor performance against contractual obligations and service-level agreements (SLAs); help identify and escalate operational issues for resolution.
Coordinate with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and other internal teams to support accurate policy administration and claims processing.
Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis efforts that optimize policy issuance and servicing workflows.
Share Specialty Lines knowledge and best practices in team huddles, helping foster a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
Assist in guiding and onboarding team members and business partners on Specialty Lines procedures and system usage.
Pursueongoing professional development to deepen expertise in Specialty Lines products, regulatory changes, and system enhancements.
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience, plus 12 years of insurance industry experience.
- Solid problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow and help refine detailed processing instructions and SOPs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with processing systems.
- Strong customer service orientation, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
- Experience working with Specialty Lines products (e.g., D&O, E&O, Crime, Fiduciary, Healthcare, and Environmental) or related endorsements and policy lifecycle processes.
- Prior vendor management or quality assurance (QA) experience in an insurance operations setting.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
