Additionally, you will enhance internal capabilities by fostering knowledge sharing, enabling best practice adoption, and supporting the continuous development of underwriting excellence across regions.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Translating Global LoB strategy into defined industry sector underwriting strategies and driving their implementation
- Developing and executing global underwriting frameworks, including business appetite, authority structures, and governance standards
- Steering and monitoring the global Property portfolio to ensure balance, profitability, and adherence to financial targets (e.g. combined ratio)
- Identifying market trends, loss developments, and emerging risks to refine underwriting strategies and guidelines
- Leading and contributing to product development initiatives, including pricing tools, frameworks, and process improvements
- Supporting new business acquisition and retention through close collaboration with regional teams and key stakeholders
- Representing Property in internal and external meetings, workshops, and training sessions as a subject matter expert
- Driving best practice sharing, communication, and capability development across regions and functions
- Collaborating with Claims, Operations, and other functions to strengthen the overall underwriting value chain
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- Strong expertise in property underwriting, including risk assessment, portfolio management, and underwriting governance
- Deep industry knowledge across complex or high-risk sectors (e.g. semiconductors or similar)
- Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and drive initiatives in a global, matrixed environment
- Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of market trends, claims developments, and portfolio dynamics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
