Commercial Lines Account Executive
Our client is a well-established independent insurance brokerage known for a people-first culture and a strong reputation for blending relationship-driven service with modern technology. They're looking for a Commercial Lines Account Executive to manage a book of larger, more complex accounts and serve as a trusted risk advisor to their clients.
The Role
This is a relationship-deepening position, not a new business production role. The Account Executive co-owns the client relationship alongside the Producer and takes the lead on insurance strategy for an existing portfolio of commercial accounts. While the Account Manager handles day-to-day service, the AE steps in as the client's strategic partner: someone who can sit across the table from a business owner one day and negotiate directly with underwriters the next.
What You'll Own
- A portfolio of the firm's larger and more complex commercial clients, generally $20,000+ in annual commission revenue
- The overall client relationship and renewal strategy, working in partnership with the Producer
- Direct negotiation with underwriters on coverage terms and pricing
- Risk management strategy development tailored to each client's operations
- Regular client meetings, in person and virtual, to stay ahead of the client's goals and risk exposure
- Coverage and claims analysis to catch gaps before they become problems
- Proactive client education, not reactive fixes at renewal time
What You Bring
- 7+ years of commercial P&C insurance experience
- Active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty license
- A track record of owning large or complex commercial accounts
- Strong analytical skills paired with the interpersonal chops to build trust with business owners and decision-makers
- Direct experience negotiating with underwriters on complex placements
- Background in a consultative, advisory-style client relationship role
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $90,000 to $120,000, based on experience
- Performance-based bonus tied to book growth, rewarding results and initiative rather than hours worked
- 100% Employer paid for health benefits
- Real long-term career growth, with expanding opportunities for leadership and decision-making authority as you prove yourself
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule, with regular travel to client locations across Pennsylvania.
Required degree level
- Bachelor
Years of experience
- 5 - 10 years of experience
Salary range
- $90,000 - $120,000 per year
